Community acupuncture differs from individual private acupuncture in that it is usually provided in a zero-gravity chair or recliner, and most clothes, except for shoes and socks, are left on. Acupuncture points are in the head, ears, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, abdomen, thighs, legs and feet.
Acupuncture works best when received a couple times a week for a few weeks, and then gradually tapering back to once a month for maintenance.
Community Acupuncture costs less than individual private acupuncture, which makes receiving regular treatments affordable. A Community Acupuncture treatment costs $44. An Initial Private Acupuncture treatment costs $98 and a Private Follow-up Acupuncture appointment costs $80. I try to guide people toward receiving community acupuncture first, and only recommend private treatments if an alternate approach is necessary. This saves the patient money and makes receiving regular treatments more likely to occur, which leads to better outcomes.
In our Community Acupuncture room, called the Studio, there is one recliner and 3 zero-gravity chairs. Clients can choose whichever chair is available for treatment. Sometimes there is only one person in the room receiving a community acupuncture treatment. Other times there are up to 4 people. Generally, everyone is quiet and respectful of everyone else. It's basically like a sleep over to boost your immune system, de-stress and improve quality of life.
An appointment is not necessary, but if you'd like to make an appointment online you may do so here:
